The first PhD school within PLATO will take place in Berlin on 15-19 January 2018. The school includes a three-day PhD course in theory while two days will be dedicated to Vitae's Effective Researcher programme.
The aim of this course is to help PhD students build a conceptual framework for dissertations which investigate how the legitimacy of the EU may have been affected by recent crises in European integration.
The second week-long PhD school will be staged in Vienna on 12-16 March 2018. Three days will be dedicated to research design, and two days to scientific writing.
At PLATO's third PhD school in Cambridge, researchers will have the opportunity to discuss questions raised in their individual PhD projects with experts in specific methods. Two days will be devoted to Vitae's effective researcher programme and preparing for the midterm review.
