Breakfast is not included, but can be bought at a discounted price at nearby coffee shops Kaffebrenneriet or Espresso House. Make sure to let them know that you are a Cochs guest. Cochs moreover offers basic cooking facilities, but you will have to ask in the reception for kitchen equipment.
How to get from Oslo Airport (OSL) to Cochs Pensjonat
The airport express train (Flytoget) takes you to Nationaltheateret Station in 25 minutes, which is a 10 minute walk (900 m) from Cochs Pensjonat. Note that only trains with destination Drammen, departing every 20 minutes, stop at Nationaltheateret (other trains will not take you all the way, as they stop at Oslo Central Station). Take the Parkveien exit from the Nationaltheateret platform. Take a right and follow Parkveien until you get to Cochs Pensjonat (5 min walk, 700 m).
The cost of a one-way ticket is 180 NOK. Tickets are available at ticket counters and vending machines at the airport, or can be bought online in advance.
The SAS airport express bus (SAS Flybussen) runs every 15 minutes and takes approx. 55 minutes. Take bus #FB2 or #FB5 to the end stop, Scandinavia Hotel (45-50 minutes). This is only a 5 min walk (500 m) from Cochs Pensjonat: walk down Holbergs gate and take a right at Wergelandsveien. Follow Wergelandsveien to Parkveien (after 400 m) and take a right. Cochs Pensjonat is on your left.
The cost of a one-way ticket is 160 NOK and it is bought on the bus.

Public transportation and tickets
All public transportation in Oslo is operated by Ruter. Since ESRs are staying in Oslo for one week, the most convenient ticket will be the 7-day pass, which costs NOK 240 (zone 1).
- App: We strongly recommend that you get the Ruter app, where you can buy the 7-day ticket and pay with a visa/mastercard. For more information about the app, visit Ruter
- Card/paper: Tickets can be bought in most kiosks (for example Narvesen, Deli de Luca, Mix and 7/11). Note that you will have to activate/validate the card on the station or on the tram the first time you use it
- Note that the 7-day ticket cannot be purchased on the vending machines, neither on board the metro or tram
Travel costs and reimbursements
ESRs travel costs; economy flight tickets to Oslo as well as local travel to/from airports, hotels and conference locations, are to be covered by your institution's local project budget (Institutional Unit Costs).
The accommodation will be paid directly by ARENA.
